Access Naloxone at our Minneapolis Office!
We are proud to announce that our Minneapolis office is now a Naloxone Access Point thanks to our partnership with the Steve Rummler Hope Network. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the health and safety of our community. We believe that harm reduction saves lives.
Community members can pick up free overdose response kits, including Naloxone, as well as fentanyl test strip kits at our Minneapolis office. These life-saving resources are available during our business hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
You do not need to use any of our other services to access these kits. Simply visit our office, and we will provide you with the necessary supplies to help prevent overdoses in our community.
The Intersection of Substance Use, Overdose, and Sexual Violence
There is a significant overlap between substance use, overdose, and sexual violence. Many individuals who experience sexual violence may turn to substances as a coping mechanism, increasing their risk of overdose. Additionally, individuals struggling with substance use are often more vulnerable to sexual violence. By providing access to Naloxone and fentanyl test strips, we aim to reduce the harm associated with substance use and offer a safer environment for everyone.
